Honeymoon Tips And ArticlesBeing a Bridesmaid.
With your love for the bride, being one of her bridesmaids will come naturally. However, there are some things to keep in mind as you go through this exciting and once-in-a-lifetime experience.
  1. Every bride has different hopes and expectations for her wedding and honeymoon, so ask how you can help.
  2. The bride has a crystal clear vision of how her wedding should be. So even if you don't agree on the French manicures, just remember it's all up to her. After all, it is her wedding!
  3. Give the bride a break! Getting married is an emotional roller coaster and might make her a bit more sensitive. Simply let the small stuff go!
  4. Help the bride go shopping for the bridesmaid's dresses, shoes and her wedding dress. At least you help guide her direction of taste!
  5. Offer to accompany the bride to her hair and make-up appointments and give her your honest opinion!
  6. Help the maid of honor plan the bridal shower and bachelorette party. Every bride doesn't want to drink tea at her bridal shower or want to have a drinking contest at her bachelorette party. Keep the bride's style and taste in mind!
  7. Be a social butterfly! Make sure the party is lively and mingle with guests who may not know too many people at the bridal shower, bachelorette party or the wedding reception.
  8. Throw a themed shower. If the couple has registered on this honeymoon registry, throw a bridal shower with the style of where the honeymoon will be.
  9. Be sure to let everybody, including guests/family/friends, know where the bride and groom are registered at. Many brides aren't sure how to let friends and family know, help out by emailing the guests you know and make sure the wedding website and registry is listed on the bridal shower invitations.
